Freakin sweet, I was wondering where some pics were. The PO before me has the vaccume line blocked off since my petcock is old and drips constantly. Cant wait untill friday(i get my new petcock) then I will see how the bike runs after that.

Eliminate the T. It should be a single length of fuel line between the petcock and carbs.

Thanks all you folks! I plugged it off until I get a High flow fuel filter! NOW, ive gotten it started :-) and it Runs… really really HIGH RPM at idle. So high that it doesn't even go into gear. what now? i have turned the idle screw all the way back, to make NO difference. So where does the problem lie now?
The bike was non-running and had aftermarker velocity stacks, with which the bike wouldn't start . So, i replaced the VS's with the stock air box voila. It RUNS, as I stated really High rpms. where do I go from here?

Well, I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but you COULD have a huge air intake leak causing the high idle.
With many people, these air intake leaks start small, and often show up only when the bike is warm. (When things expand, etc.) You, however, could have a larger leak.
Try checking the boots that go from the carbs to the cylinder head. (Intake Boots.) There are some o-rings that go between those and the cylinder intake as well, which might need to be replaced. (If you replace them, you can get them from http://www.cycleorings.com.)
