4 way "hazard" flashers....is it possible?

    Hi all..

Not a bad day here in upstate NY, so one of my friends and I go for a short ride. We took a break at a park along the shores of Lake Ontario to stretch our legs and I was giving his bike a once over. He has a very nice Kawasaki KZ900, and I noticed that he has a switch for 4 way hazard blinkers.

I got to thinking how cool it would be to have them on my GS1000!

Has anyone ever attempted adding this feature? What are the pro's and con's of having 4 ways on a bike? Of all the bikes I've had over the years I've never had a bike with hazard blinkers. I would think better visibility if one needed to pull to the shoulder...maybe a warning to cagers behind us that seem to fly up our tails from out of nowhere?

Yes you can do it and its not really difficult. I can't find the plan but if you do a web search it should turn up.

I had them on my 750 but took them off as they interfered with the operation of the turns signals. It might have been a problem with the diode used in the plan but I couldn't be bothered figuring it out.

I'll try and find that plan for you but in the meanwhile there is this gizmo https://www.kisantech.com/index.php?cat_id=4

    Cheers,

Thanks Spyug! I would appreciate that if you can dig it up! I'll do some searching as well.

      Thanks

        Jeff,
Have a look at this: http://www.rattlebars.com/mtz/fourways.html

I think that's the one I used but without the horn.

Let us know if it works for you.

        cheers,
        Spyug
