    astounded

Wow. I once split a ss brake line wilst racing at a MRA event at 2nd Creek , sucking it down from a buck+ to a WIDE 45mph corner. somehow managed to thead the needle of tire bales & broadside the last set uprite w/minimal damage.remembering the lever coming to bar for 2-3 strokes and rear end dancing still leave me queezy.the concept of hose clamps and JBweld leave me cold. Safe? no way!! not even on a drag car w/propotioning valve. Even speedway bikes w/no brakes at all are safer. i may be chicken@%$#, But, I'm also pushin 60 and still riding w/all limbs functioning. g

So the hose has a hole half way between two bolt on hose ends? If so, the line must have been defective. This is extremely rare with Earl's brake line. The hose itself is only $3/foot so if it were me I'd look for some local place that sells Earl's hose in your area so you can get back on the road. Based on your comments about CA, did you order from AN Plumbing?

Well, I am back on the raod with the old lines. But I still need that satisfaction of not being beat by these SS. So I think I'm going to ship them back to CA (AN plumbing) since time doesn't matter to much now. Hopefully I can get them back and bleed before the end of the season.
