    Vetter quicksilver pn 850G

Anyone ever have an 850 with one on it? Need to know if they ever made a mount for a G. I found one cheap...

Here's a picture of mine with the quicksilver attached. Yes they did make a mount for the 850G/1100G. The mount I bought I got off of ebay for like $50.00 or so. If you need the modle number off of it I'll get it. I may even part with it. I took the quicksilver and mount off the bike before I sold it and don't know if i want to put it on the 1100 or not. I would really like to sell them both together.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for the pic. I have one being shipped to me that was on an R80 BMW, so that's why I need a mount. I figure if I can't find one I'll just modify one made for somthing else. At least now I have a general idea of how it will look and, I think I'll like it.

I would think a reg vetter farring bracket may work. Maybe only need to cut the vetter mounts off and make some new mounts for the Quicksliver

I would not be surprised to find that the larger Windjammer and the smaller Quicksilver actually share the same mount.

That's one of the beauties of Craig Vetter's engineering genius. He had the ability to make things remarkably universal.

According to Vetter's site the Quicksilver used a different bracket due to it's smaller size.. all other designs the windjammer mount.

If you can weld I don't think it would be hard to modify a QS mount off another bike.

IIRC, the mount from the GS400/GS750 fit my '78 GS1000. It was 30 years ago and I
might disremember. With the extension wings, I get a fine, protective pocket from the
knees up. The heavy lexan windscreen is still clear. No buffeting.
