Substitute for front break light switch.

I was totally unimpressed with the GS front break light switch, so I went out looking for an alternative. This is what I found if anyone is interested. It should be a direct replacement for the master cylinder banjo bolt. It is around $20.00 with shipping. I'll know tonight when I get home. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/2916PkDmqOS4y9PUhy_tHg?authkey=Gv1sRgCKTzwsyJve6w9 gE&feat=directlink

I got one of those too but have yet to install it. Looking forward to hearing how it works.

I've got mine bike down at the moment, the Metzler rear tire was developing cracks in the sidewalls after less than a year, so I had to take it off to send back for replacement. As a result, I'm taking this time to put in my progressive springs, paint and polish the wheels, polish the front fork lowers, and replace the harness connectors. This was the only switch that I could find with a 90 degree boot on it.

Looks like it ought to be the cure for the crappy switch on the handle. I just ordered one from my local dealer, but I've got to pay freight as well since they don't do much business with Spiegler.

              Works great

I have had this on my bike for over a year now. Someone else had posted one and I got the same one he had.

Works great and no moving parts to wear down and or corrode.

Holy moley that's a great idea! And it's cheap too!

I just bought an entire replacement brake handle assembly because my little contact carrier was broken.

                I'm getting one anyway.
