Hey Octain.. i found the button. I wanna know what is the proper procedures to store carbs for long term. I have a set of good working VM26s that are just up on the shelf. They were on a running bike when i took them off and were operating fine. What should i do to be sure all the gas ans such is out of them so they dont get gummed up from prolonged storage. I was thinking maybe remove the bowls and flood everything with spray carb cleaner and then put them in a box. What about any O rings and such?? remove or leave in??

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it. -
Just drain the gas out and bag them up, they'll be fine. -

no bag to avoid condensation. wd 40 displaces any water if you feel uncomfortable letting them sit dry. put them in the house where some sort of de humidification and temperature control. I have a set of vm29's in a cardboard box been in there for a decade off and on - I bring them out once in a while for hoots and giggles. I just drain them and WD-40 them blow dry put back in the box after dry and not stinky.SUZUKI , There is no substituteComment

I wouldn't use WD-40 to store anything, it seems oily at first but makes things rust after a while. Not sure why but it does. Try it on a cylinder if you don't believe it.Comment
