82 GS850 GL Exhaust on an 80 1000L

Does anyone know if this is an exact bolt on to an 80 GS 1000 L?

The part numbers are different but it looks like it will work.

The rear hangers are different. You'd have to fab up a little adapter plate. I haven't had to do it yet, but it should be a little triangular plate with 3 holes in it, maybe a couple hammer-and-vise jogs in it.

If they were both '80 or both '82, you might not need to do anything, but they changed the rear footpeg mounts, (and the muffler mounts that went with them) in '82.
