    World Manufacturer Identifier

    Hey guys,

I got a Chance to buy a 1984 GS125e (single cylinder 124cc designed to look like a Katana.) THe problem I have is that the serial on the chassis stem starts with KM4XXXXXXX. This initially means made in Korea (not Japan) but all I can find on line about M4 is Mercury trucks as manufacturer. This cant be right. Suzukicycles.org does not give info on this first three digits. Anyone else knows anything about the VIN decoding of 10 digit serial numbers?

Erm... approximately where are you on this big blue marble flying through space?

That sort of makes a difference, you know.
    1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
    2005 KLR685, Aztec Pink - Turd II.3, the ReReReTurdening
2015 Yamaha FJ-09, Magma Red Power Corrupts...

Please provide details. The GSR Hive Mind is nearly omniscient, but not yet clairvoyant.
