    Just replaced/rebuilt my carbs...

    I have an 82 GS650 G

The carbs were leaking gas and they needed it anyway, so I got a new set (new to me) off ebay and rebuilt them.

I'm kinda slow and bike has sat for about 2 months while I was rebuiding.

Carbs are on, got gas in the tank, and tried to start. NO START... I am thinking its gonna take some cranking to get it to start anyway, but my question is..

Is there anything else I need to do since the bike has sat for 2 months? I know I need to tune the carbs, but shouldn't it at least start up?

I appreciate any help you masterminds can give me..

Did you use the PRI position of the petcock or just ON?

PRI fills the float bowls before you try to crank it.

I had it on PRI at first, but then switched to ON. Should I have left in PRI?

No PRI only for 15 seconds or so, just until the bowls fill...
Is there fuel in the float bowls?
Is there a good strong spark?
How did it run before you took the carbs off?

What else did you do to it in the meantime?

Is there fuel in the float bowls? -- "How do I check that? loosen drain plug?"
Is there a good strong spark? -- "Have not checked, started raining"
How did it run before you took the carbs off? -- "it ran ok, idle fluxuation from high to normal"

What else did you do to it in the meantime?-- "nothing"
