Newb here, need help with the "no no" carb needles
hello all! newbie here. I seem to have fugged up pretty bad here. I have a 1979 GS 550 L that had some carb issues. So, I went ahead and tore apart the carbs, BEFORE reading the book. They had real bad gas sit in them for like 6 years. I COMPLETELY disassembled them, even the mix needle (with the paint on it) that the book says is a big no no . So, the big question is: What do I do from here? Thanks for any advice in advance.Tags: None

No problem, the screws have to come out to clean that passage, and the factory setting is wrong anyway. It was adjusted for emissions only, not for power or fuel efficiency. Go through the entire carb cleaning tutorial on this site, when you get them back together try 3/4 turn out for starters, you will be tweaking them later for best running.
