question for the builders and experts
I have successfully transplanted the forks from an 84 GS1150e to my 81 GS1100e. Handlebars and brakes and all. problem is a question of the brake rotors. I do not have the front wheel assembly nor the front fender to the 1150...wish i did. Is there a difference in offset of the rotors on these 2 bikes? the 1150 forks are roughly 12 mm wider on each side of centerline. so the calipers dont fit the rotors where they are now. I can have spacers made to put the rotors out the required 12mm if the 1150 rotors arent different. Any thoughts? thanks in advance.Tags: None

I have an 1150 front wheel if you want to go that route, it's a 16" in case you didn't know. No rotors or calipers though, sorry.Ed
To measure is to know.
