proper size chain?
my chain has been making some noise lately and it seems like it's getting old anyways, so I was looking into replacing it.... but, wevery time I look for one, I see a bunch of different options like, o-ring chains, non-oring chains, chains for spoke wheels, etc....

Simple...go to Z1 enterprise and get an RK X-ring chain and new sprockets: 15/50 sprockets and 110 links on a 530 chain.Ed
To measure is to know.

O-ring chains last a lot longer than roller chains as the rollers are sealed (with o-rings). X-rings are the same, but they have a different profile which is supposed to last longer.
Basically, you can get a roller chain for about $20, or, an o- or x-ring chain for about $90-120. The roller chain will last maybe 60-70% as long, but it requires a lot of maintenance: cleaning, lubing, keeping it out of the wet is a requirement every day. The other styles of chains require lube but not as frequently.
I don't know if your bike came with a 630 chain or a 530, but if it was a 630, you might consider going with a 530 for a lighter, cheaper chain. A good x-ring chain would be plenty strong in a 530 for your machine.
Good luck!

Just call Z-1 315-926-5054 tell them the year and model of your bike and they will ask you a few simple questions and then tell you exactly what you need. Several days later your new parts will arrive and will bolt right on. Easy peasy lemon squeezy
