will a 1984 550ES stator fit on a 1985 700E and if not are there any other yrs. that will. i don't understand why so many different stator applications.

best thging to do is see if a manufacturer like Electrosport lists the same part for both applicaions. The susuki part numbers could earily be diff even if there are a nominal swap.Originally posted by redryder View Post -
Many bikes use the same windings.
The difference in the part numbers can be the difference in the rubber gasket and the length of the wires.
