    which direction for swingarm bearings??

Hey everyone. I'm replacing the swingarm bearings on my 83 gs1100ed. They're in the freezer all ready. I forgot to note which way the old ones were installed. I'm pretty sure the faced side with the stamped lettering goes inward and the open side faces out. Is that right?

      According to the service manual:
"When installing a set of bearings, punch marked side faces to the outside."

      Hope this helps.

Thank you kindly! They're sitting snug now with some coaxing from the hammer. Freezing worked like a charm. I'm not exactly sure how deep they go though? They're just inside the face of the arm but it seems like they could go deeper?
