hmmm. theres a common mod to make a gs300 into a wes cooley

I'm leaning to keeping the bike stock, then getting another GS (of course) that fits my personality (so to speak)

    Thanks all for your input.

Any other comments are always welcome and appreciated

Look around for one of these. They have the lines you like, and are still a reasonable bike as you grow into it. I have always liked the looks of these, and w/ a little paint, and cafe fairing, could make a good looking "mini Cooley". On one of these models, there would be no structural changes, so the cost would be cheap, and no risk of accidentally making an unsafe modification.

You could raise the fork tubes in the triple clamps to lower the front end. Do it in about half inch increments and ride it for awhile to get used to the way the handling changes. It will quicken the steering so you don't want to make huge changes all at once.
