    Common Exhausts?

Does anyone know if I can use a GS850G down pipes (headers) on a GS1000S.

I have a set of aftermarket silencers (mufflers) here that I want to use but I do not have the original down pipes here in the UK.

Doesn't anybody know or have tried it? Exhausts are rare in the UK and using OEM parts in my eye's is a waste for a bike that will rot them out in 2 years here in the UK.

For what it's worth, the Motad, Harris and Marving down pipes are the same for the 850 and 1000. I've never had an 850 with standard down pipes so I can't say for sure but with the aftermarket ones swapping around I'd bet a pint that they'll fit.

I had 1000E pipes on my 1000G. It held off the centre stand & required some adapters at the back so the bend is slightly different....

Ed now has 781000E pipes on his 801000S

You should be able to make it work.

750 pipes are a smaller bore diameter - not sure about the 850's...
