    Doctorgonzo was correct - the exhaust thread size is M8 x 1.25

      Yeah, it's M8 X 1.25 X something or other for the 82 GS1000 I just got some 8 SS bolt replacements. $1.10 each at Ace. IIRC they are 40 long but that's also for a V&H afermarket header.

        NAPA sells a kit with 10 bolts and matching nuts for 12 dollars. I have a kit on mine.
