Front tire on a GS1150
I ahve recently acquired a 1985 GS1150E that I plan to ride on the street and strip. I ahve decided on Pirelli Sport Demon ( thanks Brian) tires front and rear. My question is, on the Dunlop site they reccomend a 120/80 front on the older Katanas with the 16 x 2.75 front rim. There was no listing for a GS1150E. So, will that tire clear my fender, etc.?
Thanks fro your help.Tags: None

120/80 should work fine. Stock was 110/90 and going up one size rarely causes issues although I'm not familar with the 1150 model.Ed
To measure is to know.

The 120/80 will leave a large area near edge of the tire unused. It's also a very steep angle/profile there.
I found a Michelin Macadam 110/90/16 awhile back, and it was the best tire I've found for my wife's 1150. Last time I tried to order, it was back ordered.GS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ES
