    Stock shocks on 1100gk

    To those with experiance with these, are they any good?
    Dee Durant '83 750es (Overly molested...) '88 gl1500 (Yep, a wing...)

    Back in the day, Suzuki GS bikes were on the leading edge in terms of the quality of the suspension components they used on their larger bikes as compared to other OE's. That said, modern shocks and forks put our stuff to shame, particularly in terms of durability - which was/is the main problem with these parts.

      Progressive 412 series, look like stock, better performance, very durable.

        The stock shocks on GKs (here) were air shocks IIRC
        These worked quite well and were easy to adjust for extra weight etc. They also lasted very well.
        Sadly though they aren’t sport shocks, I sadly 'cause for some reason Mr Suzuki decided that the 1000ET should have them as well....
