Why not just put the whole 1100 head on it?? I think the 8V guys seek out those 1100G heads for their better flow..

BUT, yes, if you have access to valves only they are the same.
I reread his post, and he has the 1100 head already on the bike and wants to use 100 valves. Yes, the valves are the same between 1000 2 valve and 1100 2 valve.

I already have the 1100 2 valve head and the valves would not seat off. I took to my mechanic and he said the 1100 valves were bent the head is used and I still have the 1000 valves and I wanted to just use those to save money. You guys just don't know how thankful I am that info.

The valves are about that ($300.00), I also was wondering with the 1100 head do I need to use the 1100 cams or the 1000 cams?

To my knowledge the only differences is a slightly different shape on the exhaust port on the 1100 head, and a slightly longer stroke on the pistons. Other than that an 8v 1100G is a bored out 1000G from the base gasket up..Last edited by Guest; 11-24-2009, 03:18 PM.

Stock exhaust valves are $50 each and intakes are $25. If anyone knows of any cheaper options please share.Ed

But yes, OEM are $300 a set (50 and 25), so if APE has them I sure wish they would have told me. I was under the impression they'd have to custom cut them from blanks.
