83 1100E carb hose route (did search)
So, I picked up a GS and it needed the carbs cleaned. The problem is the vacuum lines were disconnected and I have a question as to where they go. I know the center "inlet" is the where the fuel line attaches. I believe the inlet between carbs 1 and 2 goes next to the fuel line at the petcock? Where does the inlet go to between carbs 3 and 4? Also, the tube coming off of the fuel level sensor - where does it go? Thanks for the help!

There should be a total of SEVEN hoses on your bike.
1. Fuel hose goes from the larger nipple on the petcock to the fitting between carbs 2&3.
2. Vacuum hose to turn on the petcock connects to the smaller nipple on the petcock and a nipple on top of the outlet of carb #2.
3. Vent hose connects to the T fitting between carbs 1&2, lays back over the airbox, connects to nothing.
4. Vent hose connects to the T fitting between carbs 3&4, lays back over the airbox, connects to nothing.
5. Drain hose connects from the fuel sending unit, runs back, probably along the frame, by the airbox, empties out below the level of the exhaust pipes.
6. Breather hose that runs from the large port on top of the valve cover to the top of the airbox.
7. Drain hose on the bottom of the airbox, goes down, empties out below the exhaust pipe.
Yeah, I know, there are brake hoses, too, but these are the ones in the engine area that FSRMATT is asking about.

This concise explanation will be added to my "Where Do Those Hoses Go?" webpage to compliment the pictures. Thanks Steve!
