    Brake bleed (anti dive)

    83 Katana 1100 SD

    Powdercoated calipers, new pistons, seals and pads, braided lines.
    Same with the rear.

    I am using the pump vacuum machine.

    Ok, the rear brakes took about 5 mins to do and works PERFECT.

    Now, the fronts is a different story, What is the procedure? When I hook up the vacuum line to the bleed nipple on the calipers I'm getting pure fluid (pump brake lever 3 times and hold) eventually the lever goes spongy.
    Now, ALL I'm getting out of the anti dives is very little brake fluid and approx 85% air!
    I've gone through nearly 2 quarts of brake fluid AND still have spongy front brakes.....
    I've done many, many brake bleeds and this Katana is testing my patience!
    What am I doing wrong?

    bleed in this order......
    left anti dive, left caliper, right anti dive, right caliper
    1978 GS1085.

    Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

            Sounds like you are drawing false air around the bleed nipples, common problem when using a suction device. You might want to try wrapping the bleeder nipple threads with a couple of wraps of teflon tape to see if that helps you get a good seal.

                lose the anti dive, its crap!. lose one disc and caliper, you dont need 2. upgrade the one you got left and you will be fine
