Broken carb. Any way to fix it?

Well, with a great big THANKS to Randy, I got the piece I needed. It seems to be about 4mm longer than the original and has more holes. Do you folks think I can cut it down, make sure it seats at the same height and be good to go or..... My thinking is that because it's the choke circuit, with more holes I just wouldn't need to use as much choke. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I would think it would be ok... I guess you'd maybe never be able to have ideal choke for both carbs perhaps.

No. Never ridden and haven't even started this bike yet. Just want to make sure to get it all sorted out before I put it back together. But hey, it gets down in the 30's. Thanks though, you're right, I prolly won't need it much if at all anyway to make a big difference.
