We can give you a LOT of answers covering general things, but if you want anything more specific, we need some clues.
I'm guessing that you are working on a motorcycle.
Maybe even a GS, because you came here.
Beyond that, we don't have a clue.
WHAT BIKE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???

DON'T PUT MORE ACID IN THERE
The acid never 'boils' out, only the water. Fill each cell with DISTILLED water ONLY.
After filling, put the battery on a slow charge for several hours, let it sit overnight, check the voltage. Top off the charge, if necessary, install battery in bike.
Good luck, wet-cell batteries don't like to get dry.
When your battery is back in and properly charged, check your charging system. 'Boiling' a battery dry is a sign of overcharging.

If you use it to emphasize a point, it's "getting your attention".
Now, after rounding up all that distilled water (it will only take about a quart), please utilize that little "User CP" button in the upper left corner and add a signature line to show what you ride. Does not have to be anything fancy like some of us have done, just a simple "'82 750E" would suffice. In case you didn't know it, the "Z" means it's an '82, so you don't have to use both terms.
Oh, and make sure your water is "legal". No point in losing your job over some water that can be bought in the grocery store for under a dollar.
