    Primary Gear Springs?

Having stripped my clutch out to upgrade the oil pump gears, I noticed that the springs on the back are loose in their holder.
Well, looser than any other clutch i've taken apart anyway?

Is this normal? And would you change em, and how do you do that??

    Oh yeah, it's a GS1000 79/80 year model.

    Not good.
Check Ebay for HD clutch hubs or someone will come along with a link on how to add washers to secure the springs.

I did the exact same thing to my 750 clutch hub, one washer with each spring. I couldnt get enough clamping force with the regular clamps but the machine shop used their press to clamp it real good before welding them up only cost me $25 plus the cost of washers
