I have the carbs totally dismantled, cleaned changed every o-ring in carbs and boots.Changed mains from 120 up to 140.Coils have 12.6 volt when ignition is on,I wonder if the problem can be in the igniter unit? Bike starts very easy and runs well to about 120 when it starts to hesitate and slowly raises in speed.

Maybe. You could have a fuel restriction also. Too sharp a bend in the fuel line, wrong type of fuel filter, dirty filter on petcock in tank, etc... Just something to check. I had this experience, where it can flow enough gas at moderate speed, but can't flow enough for wide open.

I recommend doing plug chops at the region of the problem. Most likely the problem is related to the carbs, not the ignition.Ed
To measure is to know.

I've seen bad igniters do exactly what yours is doing. Got a spare to check it?
The 120 main is probably alot closer than the 140.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.

I saw on the net a company in New Zealand selling something called HYPERPAK, a igniter box so you just change the old one.Had someone any knowledge of this box?

My igniter passed the tests listed in the shop manual, but I still believed them to be the issue. When I purchased an igniter from Hyperpak, that brought my GS1150 back to life.
