Intake O rings

I'm back.Okay so I posted the other day on carb issues, decided to clean the carbs again, went to cycleorings.com, getting ready to order some items. I would like to know if a 1982 GS1100gk2 has the rubber O rings between the cylinder and the 4 rubber intake boots?

Easiest way to tell is to look at a parts fiche. Alpha Sports has one of the easiest interfaces, but, unfortunately, also has the highest parts prices, besides the dealer.

Looking at the "Cylinder Head" fiche, I see part #28, which is the o-ring in question:

Well let me tell you all of some more things I did the other day. Before I get back into the carbs I wanted to try something else. I had a can of Seafoam carb cleaner. Remember from a previous post I said that cyls 1,2 would slowly warm up as compared to 3,4 all this while running on full choke, I was running on full choke probably for close to seven minutes tickling it back and forth to keep it idling. all this time it was coughing sputtering and some popping back a little. Mixture screws set at 3 turns out. Next day I decided to add a lot of seafoam to my small remote tank I'm using I would say about a 60% mixture of seafoam to gas ratio, again I start it up and it goes through it's problems again but after a few minutes it starts to clear out and starts running a little better and better, I shut off the choke, set the idle with the smain idle screw, idling at normal choke off, crack the throttle nice clean and crisp revs, did this for a bout five minutes back and forth, sounded pretty good. All cylinders seem to be at pretty close the same temp. pulled the plugs they looked pretty much the same across the board. Shut it down for the day yesterday. Went out today after my earlier posting decided to try it again, pulled the choke to full hit the button fired right up, sounded good no popping no studder idled were it should be I think for full choke. Choke for about two minutes. turned choke off idled nice sounded good, but!! tried to roll up on throttle would just bog. Took carbs off went, to pull intake rubbers off noticed all the instake screws are loose barely even snug, looked at O rings no cracks, pliable, wondering if maybe when the cycls are cold allowing air in then cyls start to warm starts to expand and changes everything, I'm still going to take carbs apart and throughly clean them. Whats your guy's opinion. Now I know this is a long post but wanted to give all details.

All I've got to say JWEB is that you are bloody lucky thoses intake screws were loose, because they are usually a "Bast**d" to get off. Has taken members here days to get these screws out at times. Including grinding the ends off the screws to get them out.

Think yourself lucky.

Now buy the "O" rings that you need from "Cyclerings.com" and clean and dip those carbs and get them back on the bike and you will see a huge difference.
