    Bandit 600 carbs

    Is this correct,
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/suzuki-bandit-...#ht_500wt_1182
Will these carbs fit a GS1000 and give an increase in power?

If they are the BST36SS (called slingshots, they also came in a 38mm), then yes. I know they came on some Bandits. The set I have are from an early GSXR.

The choke mechanism is built into the carbs (on my set), so you can lose the choke cable. May need throttle cable from a GSXR or a bandit for the carb end to be right, boots will need to be fairly new, and probably heated with a hair dryer to soften them up enough to jam that 2mm bigger throat in there.

Early bandit 6 carbs are keihin cvk32 you will get a minor power gain from these after much messing with jets & mixture screws

Considering all the hassle involved you may as well get some mikuni bst36ss carbs from a bandit 12 or 750f (katana) or even bst34ss from a 86-88 gsxr11 or 1100F (katana) any of these will give a significant improvement in power once dialed in

Wasn't sure if the 600 carbs were the BST36 or not. I know the 1200 are. From the picture those look more like BST36 than Keihin. Maybe the seller is wrong about being from a 600..

its a common mistake to make i'm guessing the seller has it wrong & they are bst31ss or 33's from early or late gsx600f (katana) although its difficult to tell from a single picture

The seller says they're from a 97/98 model, would that help identify them?
Would the bst31ss or 33's still work on a GS1000?

                  Thanks for everyone's help here.
