If you mean the old school looking (I kind of want some for my G) accordian ones, you'll have to take off the top triple tree.

Remove the front wheel and fender, loosen the pinch bolts on the triples, slide each fork leg out and slide on the boots.

Easy-peasy. Careful when you put everything together -- there's a sequence in the manual (or somewhere on this forum) for making sure everything is aligned.

Good time to change your fork oil, too...

..and Progressive front springs. Not sure if they make 'em for a 450....

got them on, im happy with it, they look good. I did manage to put the wheel back on incorrectly-it wouldn't spin. Took it off and reassembled and everything is working fine now. Thanks for the pointers!

I think you forgot the front guard.

If you're just interested in keeping junk from getting from getting in and ruining your fork seals, NOJ makes some guards that velcro around the fork; doesn't have that old-school accordion look, but that never did much for me anyway, even back in the day.

Fork boots? I just got snow boots!

                I'm lovin' the boots!
I'm kind of partial to them though.

Anything to keep crud and bug guts out of the fork seals helps, if you like the look of them too, so much the better.
