    GS400 Wiring Diagram?

I picked up a 78 GS400 from a friend. While he had it on a trailer, hauling it someplace, the battery fell out and busted some of the wires. I want to get electrical power to it so I can try and get it started via kick start, but I don't have an electrical diagram for the bike.

I've got a clymer book on order, and hope it will have a good diagram, but its a week out on delivery. Anyone have a diagram they can share with me? I can send my email address if you shoot me a PM.

BTW, I searched the forum using the following terms and didn't find a diagram:
    GS400 wiring diagram
    400 wiring diagram
    400 wiring

I got some hits, but no actual diagram. Thanks again for any help to the new guy.

Try this diagram from Cliff's site , it is for a GS450, but I imagine it would be fairly similar. Most of the GSs have similar wiring codes.

I put a copy of the '78 diagram from the factory manual here:

Here's a factory manual on eBay - it should have the '78 suppliment at the back, although you should ask to be sure. It's a little pricy - if you keep your eyes open you can probably find one for less.

        Good luck.
