      CV Carbs

If you have CV Carbs the airbox must be on for it to run. I did not know this myself when I tried to start my GS1000, if I covered all 4 intakes with my arm it would start up. When I took it away the engine would die. Someone told me on this site the airbox had to be on. Solved a lot of my problems. Its a pain in the butt taking it off and on to check things but it must be done.

        Balance the carbs

I read about a way to balance the carbs on a twin without a manometer. But I can't remember where. Must have been on this site. It was something about pulling a plug Lead off, and set one carb. Then plug the other Lead back on and match settings to the first carb. Any one else heard of this?
