    A "modern" insterment cluster

I would like to upgrade my '83 GS750e's insterment cluster with something more modern. Any thoughts or comments?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just my opinion.

What do you have in mind? A cluster from a newer bike? Something aftermarket like an Acewell gauge?

Something off a newer bike but not completly digital. Something similar to this:

@rphillips: ya, for now that will be the policy, but I'm looking down the line at what I want this bike to be.

My gauges went out so I took them off been riding without for a while. I haven't decided if I should get both replaced or one or the other. I have more to say on this issue but I don't want to re-direct the thread just keep it going, this topic definitely interests me.

thijones - google might give you more results if you try "instrument cluster"

check this one out it's got that modern yet classy feel to it

How'd you handle the wiring? Are the tachometer and speedometer cable or electronically driven?

The speedo uses a standard Suzuki cable, the tach gets wired into the coils. Easy peasy. As far as the rest of the lights like signals, neutral light, oil light, back lighting, I am having trouble matching things up but only because I don't know dick about wiring.
