Fork seal confusion
Ok so I'm a bit stumped. I bought some leak proof pro moly fork seals to rebuild my forks. Simple enough. I'm using the forks off of a 1979 750L by the way. Now I just went to put the seals in but they are too big. I took a look at the packaging and it says it is supposed to fit my forks but the dimensions it lists are ID: 37mm; OD: 50mm. Now the problem is the OD. I measured the opening of the lower fork tubes and they are 48mm, not 50mm! Is it a simple matter of leak proof having incorrect measurements. All I can say is this is very frustrating. I keep hitting snags left and right. Uggh. I'm gonna call leak proof tomorrow and ask for a refund or something. Or am I missing something?

750 forks are 35mm. You have the wrong fork seals.Ed
To measure is to know.

Did you measure the old seal to see what size it is?
