So I have a 81 GS650E and guy in neighboring town is parting out a 81GS550. Guy will let me have gauges and dash and few other stuff from it. Anyone know if gauges and dash are interchangeable?

On the UK models they swap straight over and I guess the same would apply over there. The rev counter may have a different red line, I'm not sure, but that sort of thing never bothered me....

Hampshirehog, any idea if the same applies to a 1985 GS450L and a 1982 GS550L?
I have found that both bikes are 6 speeds, and both bikes have the gear selection indicator. the real difference is one is a four cylinder vs my two cylinder. Hopefully Suzuki went the cheap route and didn't update their dashes too much from 82-85.Last edited by Guest; 02-26-2010, 10:51 AM.Comment
