will '81 gs1100l parts fit on a an '80 gs1100l?

i came across this parts bike http://fresno.craigslist.org/mcy/1609217761.html and wanted to know if they will swap.. the parts bike is a 1981 gs1100L and mine is a 1980 gs1100L. what do y'all think? from what i understand w/ these older bikes u always need a part here r there right?

They should interchange. My manual for my 80 1100L is for 80 and 81 1100L's.

There's very little difference between the '80 and '81 model years. Is yours also a shaft drive (GS1100GL) like the one in the ad?

no. mine is not a shaftie. i figure most of the rear-end will not match up. but the front-end should right?
