GS450T One hot cylinder
Hi, this is my first time on here. Im in Lincolnshire (UK), just got myself a 1982 GS450T that needs full restoration (my first), just got it runing after 12 years standing in a barn. It seems to be runing hot on the left cylinder compeared to the right one, it apears to be runing lean (weak) on that side, It will only run on full choke. I am in proscess of stripping carbs to check for blocked jets etc. What else could it be. Thanks. DarrenTags: None

Really not much else. A good thorough carb cleaning (not just drop the bowls and spritz some cleaner in there) and refurbishment with new o-rings from cycleorings.com should get you going. While you are in there, complete the package, adjust your valves (see my sig), check the coils (might have to replace the plug caps) treat it to some new spark plugs and you should be good to go.

And sync the carbs when your done. Easy on a two cylinder bike. Just run it on one cylinder at a time and adjust the rpm the same for each cylinder. You'll have to bump up the idle for this.
