Not gs but please help GN125/250

Hi guys, sorry its not a GS question but i figure there must be someone on here who knows this
just been given a GN125 1994 model and need some parts to get her on the road, i have found a chap with a 1991 GN250 and he claims the bikes are the same bar the engine, is this right and if so will the 250 forks fit my 125? and the same goes for mudguards, lights, petrol tank etc?
Any help would be very much appreciated

The forks are different and not a straight swap - 125 has 32mm stanchions and the 250 has 33mm (close, but not close enough ). However, there's a very strong probability that the whole front end ie including top and bottom yoke will fit straight in.

I haven't compared the 2 bikes side by side but they aren't that similar and I guess a lot of 'universal' bits could be swapped around but not the main body parts.

I have no answer as I cant get reliabel diameter sizes form any parts site.
it seems they are differnet diamters cos the seals are sold as application specific and a piar for a 125 seems unlikely to fit the 250

theres is a nice looking pair in this list for £60.
