    Airbox Breather connection

I took my airbox off today to clean it and seal it up. After cleaning it I blew into the part where the breather hose hooks up to make sure it wasn't clogged, and air came back and hit me in the face out of where the plastic connector goes into the hole in the metal airbox. Is this supposed to happen or do I have a huge airleak that makes my airbox junk?

if you look inside the box you will see it just has small openings on each end of the diverter plate in there.. it probably just blew back off the plate..but take a second look to be sure its all clear up there too. If theres no holes in the box itself then it should still be good...if not i have one up in the garage if you need one.

air is coming out through the holes inside the box, so that's good. But when I blow into where the breather hose goes though, it comes out around where the breather hose connects, as if the hose is cracked or something inside the airbox... would that be the case (a crack) if air is coming out there? should this be airtight with air only coming out through the inside of the airbox, or this just normal? I know this is kind of a dumb question but the whole point of taking the box off was to make sure I don't have any airleaks that will effect performance.

OK...Took mine down. I plut the air compressor nozzle into the nipple. No blow back from it. Dumped everything into the box.. so maybe yours is broke off inside under the diverter plate. This one i have is in real good condition. It doesnt have the snorkle or boots but you can swap yours.. let me know what you wanna do.. Pm me.
