    Blinkers acting up

    Hey,

    A couple weeks ago, my bro dropped my bike from a standstill (grrrr...at least it wasn't worse). Anyway, ever since then, I've had my blinkers acting up on me. The bike went down on the left side, but the problem is with the right blinkers.

    Sometimes they work just fine, but other times I'll turn them on, and the front blinker will go on solid while the rear stays totally off (both on the right side). Usually this will stop happening after a minute or two while riding or after I jiggle somethings on the blinker when it's standing still. I haven't been able to figure out what would cause this though. The blinkers on the left side, where the bike fell, got a little scratched, but nothing serious.

    Could something have happened to the left blinkers that would affect the right side? Or is there any area in the wiring that would be good to examine closely that might cause such symptoms? I looked over all the blinker wiring I could see, and didn't see anywhere that the wiring was being pinched or had been damaged. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Sounds like you loosened up a connection somewhere. The bulb housing would jar/shake the most when dropping a bike. I'd check that first, then any other wiring connectors. If your luck is bad, it could be the turn signal control unit. They are very delicate inside. Hopefully it's just a loosened connection.
    And on the seventh day,after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
    Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

      Is such a loosened connection or bulb housing apt to be on the side that is acting up? Or could something loose on the other side (left) affect the first side (the right)?

        You said the left side is working, so I doubt anything could be wrong that would effect the right side. The loose connection should be on the right side.

          I had a similar problem when I bought my 550L. I had to rework the grounding wire on the rear signal to get it to work consistently rather than requiring that I giggle it.
