Carbs again - levels of vacuum

    Hey,

I'm synching my carbs, and I think I read somewhere that the two outside carbs (1 and 4) are supposed to be 2.5-3.0 cmHg higher than the inner two (2 and 3). Is this true? It's on a '80 GS550L with stock carbs (I believe this was the year they switched to the CV type). Thanks.

The inner two are supposed to be slightly higher with a stock exhaust. It's because of the exhaust design the carbs are supposed to be set that way.

1 and 4 (the outer carbs) should be set to a slightly higher vacuum.
      2.5-3.0 cmHg higher is correct.
