    No Spark :( (1979 GS550E

I seem to have everthing hooked up and working properly...except for spark. I know the sparkplugs are good. Would the 3 yellow wires coming out of my rectifier, connected to the wrong wires prevent spark? I checked my coils for resistence, I got about 7 ohms. Is there a way to check the ignition module? If you have any ideas, please let me know.

    Thanks
    Mike

When you checked your coils you did disconnect them first? 7 ohms is too high, 5 is the max.

They were disconnected. I dont exactly remember the number, I could check em again... But if there is an ohm reading, that means theyre good right? Also, do you know a way to check the device on the right hand side, the electronic ignition, formerly where the points were located?

The Clymer's manual usually has a good test to find out if the ignition system is working. One is a resistance test of the signal generators (under the right side 'points' cover), the other tests the ignitor.
