I did go a bit larger on the rear with no problems the stock size on the front is 100/90/19 How much larger can I go?? IF ANY??????? 8O...I am guessing I should keep it stock

I don't think you can go much bigger than 100/90/19. Someone once told me that the rim dimensions wouldn't handle wider tires, but I don't know if they knew what they were talking about.Currently bikeless

The stock narrow rims on have a hard time handling larger than stock tire sizes. You can get away with a 10mm increase, but that's about it. The trouble is you get the sidewalls on larger than stock sizes pinched down changing the profile of the tire. You actually end up with a smaller contact patch the wider the tire you try to use. The you also get a squirmy tire when leaned over.Comment

that is Exactly what I was thinking.......I decided to go with the stock size in the michelin Macadam.....I am running it on the rear now and it sticks very nice and handles well.....plus it is V-RatedOriginally posted by Billy Ricks

Bigger is not always better! You may also have clearance problems without modifying the front guard. Get a nice sticky tyre instead
