Tire size for 1980 GS1000S?
I've ordered tires on a friends advice and the front looks too big. The rear is bigger but looks like it will fit. Front is a 110 Rear is 130. The tires on the bike were old and sizes were listed as 3.25 and 4.50. Is there a chart to convert?

ALWAYS use the exact tire size, type, speed and load rating recommended by the manufacturer of your motorcycle. Never try to second-guess the designers and engineers with regards to tire size, type, speed or load rating! Use the information on this page for general reference only and not for choosing motorcycle tires.

looks like stock would be 100 and 120. Pretty standard for larger displacement GSs. You should be okay with one size up. Just don't go any further.

I have a 110 on the front and a 130 on the rear (both 18") on a 78 GS1000. Definitely the maximum that can be fitted. When I had the standard wheels on a 4.10 would fit the front and a 5.10 the rear.
