    GS1100E GUAGE REPAIR

    Hey GS Family,
    I just acquired a beautiful bone stock 83 GS1100E today in mint condition but I need a little help with a few repairs it needs. Can anyone tell me were to go to get guage repair done it looks like it has a water stain on the inside of the digital shift indicator and the trip odometer does not work. I could use any help you guys can give me.

              Michael's going to be surpised to see this....

              You could probably take the dash apart to get the console cover off and clean the backside of the glass (plastic most likely) for the gear indicator. Windex might damage it though, especially if it has amonia in it.

              For the trip-meter, you could have the speedo sent off to a repair place and get that taken care of (if you want to keep the original, with the correct mileage showing) or replace it. eBay is king for finding parts for these bikes. Do a google search for speedometer repair, and you have lots of choices.
