    Fork oil

The manuel states to use 15 SAE oil in the forks , but all I can find is 5, 7 , and 10. What kind of differance would I get if I used a 10 instaed of a 15 ??

    Thanks

10 weight will speed up the action of the fork. There will be less damping resistance against the spring. Try calling or emailing some of the online bike supply shops. You should be able to get 15w easy.

My mechanic uses PJ1 20 weight on my forks. He stocks it in his shop and in his little showroom. That's what he's always recommended in the 11 years I've been going to him.

If can't find it locally, check www.denniskirk.com. They do have it, but of course then you get stuck paying shipping .

You can try ATF...I use it in 3 different bikes and the fork action seems just right.
