The large cap on the top of the forks unscrews. BE CAREFULL there is spring pressure on the cap

You should not overfill the forks and there should be the same amount of oil in each side. I took an old syringe and put a tube with a hole in the sideof it at the right heght (see manual) and sucked out the excess oil. The hole allows you to remove the oil above the hole but when the oil is at or below you will only draw out air. (Saw this in the Clymer manual)

I used a part of a bicycle foot pump and a big 2oz syringe to refill my forks. Let air out of forks, install foot pump hose (they should just unscrew from the pump) get 2 oz syringe from feed store, without needle. suck fork oil into syringe. With bike on centerstand, slowly 'inject' oil into hose untill gone. wait, and with syringe still connected, suck the air back out of teh hose to equalise pressure. viola, added oil without having to mess with taking those caps off. i change my fork oil yesterday using this method, took about 30 minutes total.
