    Case Savers ???

I'm trying to track down some Case Savers for a 82 650G.
i heard that JC Whitney sold some but can't locate them...

what other terms could they be listed under beyond "Case Savers" ?

    Thanks

I've always refered to them as case guards or case protectors. I'm not sure what will interchange but check out this link.

      J. C. Whitney was also known as Warshawski's in the midwest.
The guy who owned it died. He had an UNBELIEVABLE antique car collection...maybe more than Jay Leno...he used to be one of my accounts at Star Chrome in Chgo. They moved the whole business out of town...maybe Plainfield, Illinois....I know it's out on I55; west of the Chgo. suburbs...maybe someone from my old neighborhood could tell you exactly where they're now headquartered...Guys??????????? #-o

Also, you might want to check under engine case guards/eninge guards.

Maybe Parts Unlimited or another supplier. call some older shops that may have gotten "stuck" with them...If you can find used ones,,,they are usually not bad to chrome plate...and come out very good.

highway bars? I've seen some that are beefy for saving the case in a slide. just not the sticks that only provide footrests. crash bars. variations of this theme work pretty well for ebay anyways.
        good luck!

Patty, JCWhitney moved to LaSalle, Illinois, which is west on I-80 about 2 hours from Chicago.

I've ordered from them in past many times...but i actually went out to their facility a few months ago...its huge. they have a store there where you can pick items up if you pre-order.

You might also check into some frame sliders. They are nylon pucks that bolt to the frame to keep hard parts from dragging if the bike goes down. They come in different lengths and colors.
