Not to flame, but seeing as the ignition trigger is on the crank, how can a loose cam chain cause the timing to jump around?

saaz
I don't have experince with the standard electronic ignition. The jumping may be caused by sensor fault, electronic advance, etc..
I would be interested in any other experinces.

Ouch!!! over $500.00 for Dyna 2000 and coils. I see whole gs bikes on ebay for less. Is ther a double secret secret place to buy instead of Dyna direct?

As for coils, Accel is just as much quality but less expensive I think by a little. First Timer gave me this link....

Thanks, checked it out.
The Dyna 2000 offered is a differant model number.
They apply to kaw's and 98' Suzuki
The Dyna III is priced nice!!

DON'T use the following link for coils
-- they're bad news! I just ordered that exact part from them (which by the way is out of stock) and the order went awry ... then they accused me of being a liar about two different conversations with what they call customer support. For thirty five bucks more order from this link and you get your part in 2-3 days with no hassle and first class service.
Check out my post in the General Discussion for the full story (and feedback) regarding MAW (Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse).
Regards,
Steve

Thanks for the heads up Planecrazy, was just about to order.
Nert, if you want to use the Dyna III at $99.00, I think it needs the mechanical advancer. Replaces the points and I'm not sure what else.....on later bikes.....CDI and..?? There are other posts on the site about this also.

Doze
The Dyna III and Dyna S systems need the mechanical advance from an earlier bike. This is the voice of experience. I used one off a 81 1100 and it's worked flawlessly for three years now. BTW I have the "S" system with the Dyna coils on my 1150ES.
Doze.
