.969liters in a quart ..

How many quarts do i use ...

I put in 2.5 quarts already ... actualy little over that the clear thing on my case shows full ... do i need to put anymore in?

its on a 84' GS550

2.47 quarts is what you need. Do not put more than that in. This is one of those times when too much can be worse than not enough.

I think your engine should have a number stamped/cast into the crankcase near the oil filler plug. That's the number of mL it expects. Don't use it exactly, but it is a ballpark figure. Actually, you will probably need less than that number because you aren't going to totally drain the system.

Anyway, don't overfill it. overfilling causes frothing, in which case you're pumping air through the system, not oil, and parts will overheat. Very bad. Could be fatal.

my 79 takes 2.5 quarts with just an oil change. its about 2.8 with a filter change.

I would use 2400ml myself..a lot easier than this quarts conversion thing!!

we have no choice in the States, we have quarts and gallons here, thats how they sell fluids here, so hmm.. i wish i lived in australia, some day i hope i get to move to there or somewhere as exotic

im debating on how much to put into my 450L, it looks like three quarts came out, probably about 2.5 quarts too
