Favourite brakepads to use?

What make of pads would you suggest using on my bike?
I'm looking for front brakepads with good performance for my 750 (and don't sqeal like hell).

No pads will squeel if you install them correctly, and put a small amount of RTV on the back, to dampen the vibration. Personally I like the OEM pads best on a bike. I've only used a replacement once, and got what I paid for.

What is'" RTV" is it something similar to copperpaste ?

RTV=Room Temperature Vulcanizer. Permatex is one trade name for it. Silicone Sealer, Gorilla Snot, etc. all slang for it.

Brake pads

Robinjo, I use EBC brake pads on my '82 1100EZ and they work wonderfully. As to squealing, you need to make sure that all of the hardware (clips, etc) is there and in good condion. I do not recommend using silicone sealer on the back of the pads. There are many brands of ant-sqeal compound out there that are made specifically for that application, and should be available at any auto parts store.

Brake pads

I recently changed the rear pads on my bike (with the help and advice of our members). I used EBC pads which seem to work great and don't squeal at all. I didn't put anything on the back of the pads and simply dropped them in and put everything back the way I found it.

Ik gebruik ook de EBC blokken (via roukama besteld) en inderdaad beetje kopervet erop. Tevens alles goed schoonmaken en zorgen dat de blokken losjes passen. Het remt veel harder dan andere merken, maar echt hard remmen zal het nooit, maar als je goed durft te knijpen, sta je redelijk snel stil. Wel heb ik gemerkt dat je de achterrem ook volledig moet gebruiken, in tegenstelling tot de moderne motorfietsen.
